Step inside and prepare to be greeted by the comforting aromas of slow-cooked favorites that remind you of a loving grandmother’s kitchen. The menu is a celebration of classic soul food classics, featuring standout dishes like their famous Baked Chicken with Yams, Greens, and Cornbread Muffin, the rich and tender Oxtails with Mustard Greens and Mac and Cheese, and the flavorful Meatloaf Dinner served alongside collard greens and mac and cheese. The dining atmosphere resonates with a true neighborhood feel — casual, unpretentious, and filled with a palpable sense of community pride. Customers frequently praise the friendly and attentive service, describing the staff as kind and welcoming, creating an environment that feels like a home away from home. One patron fondly noted that the greens are not just good — they're reminiscent of grandma’s cooking, a high compliment in the soul food world.
While Daisy's exudes warmth through every bite and interaction, some customers have suggested a deeper cleaning could elevate the overall dining environment, making it as spotless as the kitchen’s heartfelt food preparation. Still, the collective mood is vibrant and lively, especially on Sundays between 2 pm and 3 pm, when the restaurant buzzes with locals savoring their favorite plates.
If you’re in Memphis and craving soul food cooked with care and tradition, Daisy’s Restaurant is a must-visit. Each dish tells a story steeped in heritage, and every visit feels like returning to a long-lost family gathering where comfort, flavor, and hospitality reign supreme.
The customer service is awesome, the food is delicious, and homemade everything. I can't remember the guy name who works there but he was so kind and very friendly. The greens, OMG. Is not my grandma back there cooking, but somebody grandma is. The place can use a really good deep cleaning. If you plan on going, I would say 2pm to 3pm is best on a Sunday.
South Memphis stand up.... another hidden treasure. Good Food and Great atmosphere
I love Daisy's its some of the best soul food in Memphis Tn. They have fast service. I highly recommend you visit.
Food was so good! I will be back. The dressing was so savory despite the lack of cranberry sauce. Also enjoyed the lasagna. The peach cobbler was a little too sweet 4 stars because service was so-so. They weren’t rude but I didn’t feel welcomed.
